The eHealth-Hub for Cancer is proud to share that the Limerick Digital Cancer Research Centre (LDCRC), based at the University of Limerick, has joined the Digital Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (DigiCORE), a leading pan-European network of 33 cancer centres across 17 countries, dedicated to advancing precision oncology and outcomes research.
Our membership in DigiCORE represents a major step forward in our shared mission to improve cancer care through real-world data, digital innovation, and collaborative infrastructure. DigiCORE unites top-tier academic and clinical institutions across Europe to drive innovation in cancer care using cutting-edge tools in data science, interoperability, and artificial intelligence. This strategic partnership strengthens our collective efforts to: expand national and international cancer data networks, support digital clinical trials and policy through real-world evidence, and drive innovation in bioinformatics, federated analytics, and genomic data sharing.
The eHealth-Hub for Cancer and LDCRC already play a leading role in initiatives such as OHDSI Ireland, ELIXIR, GDI, and the CANDLE Project, and we look forward to leveraging this new collaboration to build further impact across Ireland and Europe.
