Dibya swarupa Mohanty
Doctoral Student, University of Limerick
Research interests: Cancer Research, Precision Medicine, Cancer Personalized Medicine, Bioinformatics, Pharmacogenomics
Dibya is currently pursuing a PhD titled "The Role of Tissue Specificity in Immune Oncology: Phylogenetically and Tissue Informed Pharmacogenomics" under the guidance of Prof. Aedin Culhane (University of Limerick) and Dr. Constantine Mitsiades (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute). The focus of her research is to improve the matching of patients to precision oncology drug-repurposing clinical trials.
With dual Master's degrees in Genomic Medicine and Bioinformatics, Dibya brings a strong combination of academic rigor and practical expertise. Her experience in clinical bioinformatics, particularly in phylogenomics, has deepened her understanding of genetic relationships and their clinical relevance.
Dibya's passion for drug discovery is reflected in her extensive work with molecular modeling, Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD), and protein structure prediction. She also excels in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, including whole genome sequencing, RNA-seq, and ChIP-seq analysis.
Proficient in Python and R, Dibya is adept at optimizing data analysis pipelines, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of complex genomic data processing. Driven by a strong passion for research and development, Dibya is excited to contribute to innovative projects that will shape the future of genomics and human health.
